Boxing
This will be an Olympic-Style Boxing program. All participants will be taught from the ground up in stance, footwork, punches, blocks, evading / head movement, combinations, strategies and fundamental mechanics, moves, and techniques of boxing. Base Conditioning: Support exercise and conditioning elements including shadow boxing, jumping rope, calisthenics, heavy bag punching, road-work, and speed-bag exercises. Participants will be shown how to safely use heavy bags, double-end bags, slip bags, speed bags and more. With close supervision, there will be options to compete in three-round two-minute matches based on weight classes and skill levels. Our Boxing Club is a member of the USA Boxing Association.
